Robert D. Swift is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon based in Naples who specializes in sports injuries, joint diseases, fractures, and minimally invasive orthopedic surgeries. Dr. Swift specializes in advanced orthopedic and sports medicine care, with an emphasis on restoring mobility, minimizing pain, and assisting patients in returning to an active lifestyle. He specializes in treating shoulder, knee, hip, elbow, and ankle injuries, rotator cuff tears, ACL and meniscus tears, shoulder dislocations, arthritis, cartilage restoration, fracture management, and robotic joint replacement surgery. He also specializes in minimally invasive surgery and regenerative medicine, which promote speedier healing and long-term joint health. Dr. Swift served in the United States Army, where he held many leadership posts, including Chief of Orthopedics at Bagram Air Base, Afghanistan. He received numerous military medals, including the Bronze Star Medal and the Meritorious Service Medal. He received advanced orthopedic and sports medical training from the Hughston Clinic and Vanderbilt University.
